Already a CFI? The CFI-I is the rating that lets you train Instrument Rating candidates, endorse them for the practical, and conduct IPCs. Three days of training, checkride on day four, in the Diamond DA40NG with Redbird AATD backup.
The CFI-I is an additional rating to your CFI certificate. It can also be completed as an initial certificate by adding training days. Either way, all maneuvers are flown from the right seat to PTS standards.
Provide the required ground and flight training for Instrument Rating candidates — including IFR cross-country, approaches, holding, and partial-panel work.
Endorse Instrument Rating candidates for the FAA oral and practical exams once they meet the ACS standards.
Conduct Instrument Proficiency Checks for instrument-rated pilots — the recurrency credential for everyone who flies in the system.
The biggest reason "accelerated" stops being accelerated isn't instruction — it's checkrides. CRAFT plans for DPE availability from the day you book.
"Train. Test. Finish."
Accelerated training isn't about rushing. It's about removing the biggest bottleneck in the system.
Tell us your CFI status and your target window. We'll get you on the schedule and lined up with a DPE.
